Object Animation is stop motion animation, instead of using pictures like cut out animation, there are objects involved in this like pencils, chairs etc. These techniques all require animators to work with aspects of filmmaking very similar to those that live action directors have to deail with. In object aniamtion, lighting, camera movement, lens, depth of field and spatial relationshops are not virtual, as in cartoons, but real, as in films.
The positive thing about experimenting object aniamtion is that its easier to do. This is because with object animation the objects just have to be movies, where as with cut otu animation, there would have to be images and also cut out aniamtion would give an 2D effect on the animation.
Object animation is used a lot in movies, I also created a short object aniamtion movie in a classroom with couple of classmates.
